LT1 knock sensor(s)?

is there one knock module or two knock modules for LT1 engines?

I have a corvette stand along LT1 harness and it has two knock sensor connectors. One goes on each side o the block just above the oil pan correct? I currently have NPT plugs in each hole... if i take the plugs out will oil spill out? Engine is full with break-in oil.

Those plugs will empty the water jacket on each side of the engine. My LT1 only has one knock sensor

The B body cars had two knock sensors and the fbody cars had one knock sensor. As said above it will empty the water in the motor out onto you as soon as you open them.

OK, I have no coolant in the engine yet so I should be good then. I guess since my harness has the two sensor connections I should hook them both up and dont see what problems i would run into?

The sensor wires tee together and go to one pin on the PCM. Use one or two, up to you. Two increases costs and complexity of the system

Id stick with one on the drivers side. Pass side knocks usually interfere with SBC LT headers

Re: LT1 knock sensor(s)?

it is very close to my headers... thanks pocket. I'll just use the one on the drivers then and tie up the other and tuck it away or maybe just remove it all together.
