what do i need to swap the 4L60 off and a t56 on the 93lt1

is this going to be mutiple hours of skilled work or easy enough for me to attempt (beginner)
im going to be dropping the engine threw the k member and dismount suspension etc.

If you've never done it before, Id find a friend who has to help you through it. Its very time consuming and dangerous to pull and engine if you dont know what you're doing

thank you i dont think i will be trying by myself how long will this take for me and 4 others
and im wanting to take the lt1 out a 93 camaro put it in my 89 rs with a t56
and put the 4l60 from the 93 in my dads iroc to revive it

Expect atleast a full weekend to physically swap the LT1 in and trade trans in the IROC

Dont expect the LT1 to fire without a TON of preemptive parts ready

Remember to swap the tailhousing off the IROC's 700R4 onto the 4L60 along with the old cable VSS gears. The 93 is setup for an electric VSS and the IROC a cable drive

i thought the 93 had a 4l60 this should bolt up am i right
because they didnt put the 4l60e into the camaros til 94

what do you mean what else will i need to get the lt1 working on my car? damm what will i need including everyting to switch a t56/lt1 in and a t5/lo3 out//////and the 700r4 for the 4l60 any others parts essentialy needs for the swap i will be buying a 93 camaro so everything not in that

What are you expecting to happen? All the wiring will plug right up? Fuel lines fit right on, exhaust bolt up directly?

Read the LT1 swap sticky and start from there

As previously stated, the only thing youll be using from the 93 donor is the engine itself. Not the harness, ECM, exhaust, trans, mounts, fuel system, etc. Hardly a start when the engine is the cheap part

i really dont know what all those things really do except for what the names entail and im geussing i have to save about 2- 3000 to start this swap im geussing but will 2 to 3000 also install a working turbo i just want my car for the rest of my life and want it to mash...its a 89 rs convertible stick
if i get a donor car with a lt1/t56 will i be able to use ecm,harness,trans,mounts,fuel system exhaust? or are all of those needed elsewhere anyways

Remember Pocket, he's in California so it would be similar to an LSx swap for him, having to retain all the smog equipment, vapor canister, cats and all. I don't even know if putting a turbo on an LT1 in California is legal or not.

If you can find a car with a LT1/T56 you would be better off, but since the '93 model is totally different than the '94+ models you would can also find a '94+ wiring harness and transmission to go with the LT1 out of the '93 car you are looking at.

is installing a turbo on a 2.8 legal in california cause thats what i was talking about
