Anyone ever have a lifter dry out?

Still trying to figure out the noise in my 95 lt1 motor it sound to be in the top end of the motor tonight,i took off the timing cover tonight and only found that the chain was stretchted but not bad enough to make a nock at 2k RPM.

My guess as well as a few other people that have looked at it say that i have a bad lifter, anyone else had this happen?

A failed lifter isnt unheard of. Lucky for you LTx lifters only require pulling the intake and a valve cover

Lifters usually start nocking or ticking when they don't pump up anymore. They're cheap too.

Oh and i found out the other day at tpis that the RHS block allows you to pull lifters without pulling the heads!
