4.8 swap ecm tuning

Im swaping a 4.8 with ls1 intake and wiring harness from a 99 camaro with the 99 camaro ecm. My question is what do I do about the tuning on the ecm? I know I need to have it reflashed to remove vats, egr, rear o2s and so on but not sure where to get it reflashed for a 4.8.

Re: 4.8 swap ecm tuning

any place that can remove that stuff should be able to flash the new OS. That sure is an expensive swap to do the 4.8 and not upgrade to at least the 5.3L

Cool

Now spend another $100 on a 5.3 rotating assembly and upgrade the 4.8 to a 5.3. You'll kick yourself in the future for skimping on the cheap part of the swap. 5.3's are just too common and cheap to settle
