Re: LS1 Swap- ECM Mounting Location?
I put mine in the stock location. there was really no "mounting" exactly. It will stay up on its own. I drilled a hole in the firewall for the wiring harness. I did my swap in a camaro but it should still work the same.

After I ran the wiring.

Under the dash before I closed up the dash.

i put mine in the stock location as well. I gutted a spare ecm harness bulk head to use the factory hole in the passenger fender well.

I wanted to run mine the same way, but I didn't want to lengthen all the wires. As it was they were barely long enough. Though it probably looks a lot cleaner than mine.

Re: LS1 Swap- ECM Mounting Location?
I cringe at how bad my first attempt looks at the pcm end, but it was my first time doing something like this, so mistakes were made while learning a lot. I'll probably pick up another harness to work on before the next swap and clean things up a bit.

Same here Dan. I wish I would have cut each end even and had all my extensions be the same length, but I didn't and it was awful. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that all my solders will hold out ok and that none of the sensors will read wrong....
