Trade 4L60E harness plug for 4L80E ?

Anyone out there doing a harness swap and have a 4L80E plug and want to put a 4L60E in their camaro? I'm willing to swap my plug for that one. I have the wires complete to the computer pinouts all bundled up nicely.

do you have a pic of the one you need? i might still have the plug in my wiring box if you know what it looks like. its off an 03 silverado 2500, so it should be the 4l80 plug.

The connector is the same for 4L60E's and 80E's. The pinout is what changed

Only the very early 4L80E's (90-91) used a special bolt on connector

hmmm really. I was under the impression the shapes of the connectors were different as well. In that case what pins do I need to move around?

You need to add an ISS connector if using a 60E harness. Find one in a JY, any 2 wire CTS or 98+ VSS connector will do

ISS connector is not the VSS connector on my harness that I have now? Or am I missing something?

80's have two VSS inputs. The Rear one which is what you have reads the output shaft speed and drives the speedo. The ISS is located up front and measures the speed of the internal bits. Not really sure of its purpose further than it's required to function

Green and purple are the rear, blue and red are the ISS
