Yes, that's what the shop did for me. They had already done pipes off the collectors with Magnaflow spun cats which went to duals with an H-pipe. But, I had to cut off the duals between the cats & H-pipe in order to mount the Trak Pak, so they took it from there this time to fab a Y-pipe to the Force II I-pipe (which I had already cut off the bend that goes from a 3rd gen cat to the straight back portion). They put a bolted flange in the driver side pipe and at the connection to the I-pipe to make it easier to disassemble and remove (for things like clutch changes).

For the LS1/4L60E car, they did a similar thing (fab'd a Y-pipe to my existing cat-back), but only put a bolted flange in the driver side. When I went to disassemble it to drop the engine/tranny this spring, I found the passenger side impossible to remove without dropping the entire exhaust, so I cut the I-pipe right at the front of the 3" section. I talked to them when I was ready to put it back together, admitting what I had done to their work - I was looking for a butt joint band clamp, but he didn't have any on hand. So, he gave me the bolted flange pieces and I welded them in. When I took the LS1/T56 car in for the Y-pipe fab, I asked them to do it the same way as the 4L60E car ended up.

I'll try to get pics and post 'em up.

Picked it up at lunchtime. They had taken it off the lift, so I could only get pictures laying on my belly. I tried taking some video of starting it up and revving it a few times, not sure how well that came out (didn't sound good playing it back on the camera). I'll post them this evening (have to download them on my home computer).

First impressions of the Force II sound - LOVE! At idle it has just enough bass tone to let you know something is there (if you're paying attention). Under power it doesn't get tinny like the 80 Series does, and at cruise doesn't have that drone. The cats may be helping with that, but so far I really like it (and I never thought I'd say that about a Flow). Getting on it, it didn't seem to mind having the full exhaust on it, but we'll have to see how it does at the track for the final verdict in that respect.

Still have some things left to do. I want to reinforce the tunnel so the TA saddle is less likely to tear the floor. The muffler sits about a flat-hand's finger's width away from the gas tank (4th gen plastic, no 3rd gen shield), so I'll probably put heat reflecting tape on the bottom of the tank. I didn't do the final torque on the band clamps yet (50-70 ft-lbs according to Summit). Need to do the final adjust on clearance things (the back of the TA comes really close to the rear seat belt mount & tunnel), and see if I can figure out what is causing the highway speed vibration/rumble (feels like the driveshaft frequency, pretty sure it's not tires).

Oh, in exchange for putting his shop decal on the back window, he only charged me for materials. <Like>
