truck front accessories with cowl hood?
Im doing a 4.8 swap into my 3rd gen and was wondering if i could get away with using stock truck accessories if i got a cowl hood. i guess im just not sure what exactly gets in the way... if anyone knows if cowl hood is an option let me know. thanks

Do some looking around on here, the alternator will probably hit the hood and the intake is pretty tall. Im using truck acc. but I modified the alt bracket and moved it to the pass side.

Hope to see how mine does with the truck bracket and original alternator.

If the only thing is hood clearance, then wouldn't a cowlhood solve that problem? I guess that was my original question... And zones98rs, if you get yours in there before I do, lemme know how the fitment is.

Re: truck front accessories with cowl hood?
There is no doubt in my mind, the stock alternator can work with the F body or truck brackets, requires some imagination to do it a couple ways, but it nearly fits in perfect. But having a welder, chop saw, drill press and other tools make doing these things way easier, it is not a direct bolt in, but one way for the truck piece is to have a drill.
