so my buddy asked me if i can help him out. he has a 87 trans am that he had a shop put a lt1 into years ago. when they did the install i guess he told them to use the 700r4. he now has a 4l60e installed but needs it wired up. he says everytjinh was from a 94 lt1. my question is... does someone have a wiring diagram or something that shows how to wire up the 4l60e?

Can't help you much on the wiring but you could try this http://www.lt1swap.com/all_lt1.htm and at figure out what pins you need at the ECM. I've added the tranny side of the wiring so you know which pins do what at the transmission.

Make sure he has the 4th gen torque arm mount if he is going to use his original torque arm and mounting location at the tranny. Ask me how I know

 

If everything was from a '94, and from an automatic donor, the wiring should already be there.

 

i guess the shop cut that part out fo the harness when they installed it. i dont really know all the facts yet. he just asked me if i can wire it up and that the trans is already in the car.
