Are all stock K-members the same?

Hi everyone,

As the title states, I was wondering are they all the same? What I was thinking of doing is buying one from a junk yard to modify for my LS to put in my car. But will one from a in example a V6 work? Also is there anything weird with them like they maybe they dont line up right car to car? Or would it be best to use the 'spare' as a temp and modify the one that came with my car?

The reason I want to get another is I'm using my brother in laws shop for the removal/install, like the camaro because of the lift. But to get the car home to finish the engine bay work I would have to remove the K and engine, put the K back in, then take it apart again at home to mod the k, then put it together to go back to the shop just to take it apart again to put the LS in. Having another one would save some steps.

Hope this makes some sense to you guys...it even confuses me a little!
Thanks

Pretty sure they're all the same, but I've heard the V6 mounts are further back than the V8 mounts or vise-versa.

The holes are all there for both motors.

The factory didn't change the K-member over the 3rd gen years, or with various engines or transmissions. They are all the same.

Right on...if I can get one for the right price, that will save me a lot of useless steps.
