4th gen a/c question

Ok I purchased the hawks kit to use the 4th gen compressor and 3rd gen everything else.. my problem is im using the stock style gaskets for the 4 th gen on the block that goes to the back of the compressor and ive put 2 different sets of gaskets on it and it still leaks.. Am I using the wrong gaskets???

Re: 4th gen a/c question

Crawled under the car and looked while it was running.. Turns out it is not leaking from the block, it is leaking from the compressor itself by the real lower bolt because I can see it bubbling... Guess I need a new compressor

Re: 4th gen a/c question

I use the 0.625 gaskets instead on my LT1 kits which is kind of the same a/c block but looks like gaskets are not the issue.

Re: 4th gen a/c question

Get you a new compressor and pull a vacuum on the system, pull it down to 29"hg, shut the valve on the vacuum pump and let it sit for an hour. If the gauge has moved within that hour, then you still have a leak somewhere.
