Reviews wanted: BRP Hotrod LS swap headers
Thoughts and insights on the BRP Hotrod LS swap headers.
I am in the middle of a budget limited swap and these headers are a few hundred less than the Hawks(SSW) headers.
I am looking for 1 7/8 stepped to 2 inch tubes.
Not sure how or if the flat collector of the BRP's affect performance. Also, how well they fit???
Thanks

budget big tube headers to go on a super expensive motor? Otherwise you wouldn't need headers that large, so that budget thing is out the window. I don't know of a single posting of anyone online running those headers or if they're even available yet.

even stock LS motor's make more power with 1 7/8 vs 1 3/4. The 2" stepped was to try and create some scavenge.
So if SSW makes the Hawks headers, can't we just order 1 7/8 through Hawks and SSW will make them? I mean if they make a 2" version, why not 1 7/8?
Even so...looking at a price point of above $1000

1-3/4" headers are on mid 10 second cars (all motor, no nitrous). I think that's sufficient for most people. If 1-7/8" inch were available I would have bought a set for my 427 LSx, but I'm not really sweating it.
This is a photo I got from BRP. It's on a 3rd gen.... of sorts. Good luck with that. I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Jesus, BRP still didn't release those? I remember seeing prototype pics 2+ years ago.

Just to bump a thread, yes, these are available but how you'd get to your starter or oil filer based on Quicktrip's photo is beyond me without dropping the headers.
