1992 firebird vert 5.3 vortec swap Questions and concerns??

Ok I have a 1992 firebird convertible with the bastard 305 and a 700r4 and what Im lookin to do is swap in a 5.3 vortec/4L60e (just a stock motor and trans). It comes with the stock ecm and all the accessories. I have the ram air hood on my car so all the accessories and intake should clear no problem. So my biggest concern is the ECM, can I just use the 5.3's ECM or do I need to convert it? If so how do I go about doing so? Im new to this so any input is greatly appreciated thanks guys.

Sorry if that came off as rude, it was more comical in nature..we just see the same questions every month and they do get repetitive. Anyways check out the LS1 swap sticky thread's as it should give you a great insight of what all is involved with the swap! I'd recommend also searching for any questions you may have as well! Check out some build threads and you'll be able to see the virtual process of putting in an LSX! Good luck and enjoy!

You dont convert the ECM. You take the 5.3 wiring harness that plugs into the ECM and break it down and make a few connections between it and the harness from your 305. It's all in the sticky threads if you take a look.

Okay guys, I'm a little computer illiterate, how do I find the LS1 swap sticky thread? I've got a 91 firebird 5.0 TBI that needs a new heart, and I've got a 2003 Sliverado 5.3 with a donor card.
