Coolant bypass LS1 Vintage Air
I saw in a thread somewhere, it stated not to plug or block off the heater core lines off of the water pump on the LSs. That they always need circulation. It was in reference of a guy who was deleting the heater core. Is this true, if so why?
I want to install Vintage Air kit and thier bypass valve is only a two fitting. How would I run the heater core lines?

I cant see ghettocuisers post. The advantage of the Vintage Air valve is it is electric as oppose to vacuum. I want to go to digital cruise as well leaving the brake booster as the only thing that needs vacuum.

Thats what I used.
If I understand you correctly, and Im not sure that I do as Im not even sure what kit you are working with...the digital valve is basically just an on/off type of valve?
Ive read some info that says blocking off the heater lines is ok on an LS...and some that say its not. Im inclined to agree that it needs to circulate.
Im not sure how a 3 port valve would work with this set up...but the valve that I used works very well. Downside for you is you'll have to run it off of vacuum somehow.
Have you contacted vintage air to see if they offer any other valves or have any other insight? I wonder if you could adapt the control mechanism to the vacuum operated valve to make a digital 4 port? The actual valve is a mechanical set up operated by the vac diaphram. Might be able to hook the digital set up to it.

Look at the schamatic in post #8 of the link I posted (above), it makes my head hurt. Im using the Vintage Air gen 4 but it would be the same for any kit, just the basic concept of hooking up a heater core. The Vintage Air diverter is in/out on/off set up.
