LS3 fuel line connection

Just wondering what most people are doing as far as fuel lines go to their ls motor. I see Hawks sells some adapter lines so you can use your regular lines which looks real simple but a little pricey. Wondering if you guys are using the Hawk lines or what else you might be doing.

Re: LS3 fuel line connection

you'd probably have more responses over in the LSx swap forum, but I ended up making my own braided lines. however, my car was a factory carbed car, so all the lines would have needed to be replaced anyway. you can make your own adapters pretty easily at home, there's a pretty good chart made by Pocket that shows all the part numbers you should need.

If your RS is TBI, you need to read the part with the buffer box too

Yes it is a tbi. I will take a look at that. What's the original purpose of the buffer box. Thanks Pocket

Re: LS3 fuel line connection

Older ECMs were too dumb to decode the VSS signal internally(TBI ECMs are a layover of the old stuff), so the external module does it for them and splits the signal into a 2000ppm and 4000ppm stream for different functions. When swapping in a LT1/LSx, the new PCM is fully capable of decoding the raw VSS data so the box needs to be removed and a bridge inserted to complete the circuit from PCM to cluster

In a nut shell, your speedo wont work unless you bypass it
