LT1 engine swap

I own a 1992 camaro and am planning an engine upgrade for the car. I am planning on building this car to be dependable along with a boost in power. I bought a LT1 engine and six speed for the car. I have purchased a set of AFR heads part number 1127. I also purchased a GM performance parts vented optispark distributor with a MSD distributor cap and rotor button. My next purchase is a 383 stroker kit for the engine. I was told to purchase a LT4 intake manifold for these heads. Is the MSD distributor better with the adjustable timing? Is the aftermarket LS1 ignition system better and does it allow for timing adjustments specific for the engine and camshaft? Is the Edelbrock intake manifold just as good or better or worse than a factory LT4 intake manifold? I have noticed alot of 4th gen. camaros for sale claiming they have 383 engines. Some claim to have LT4 engines. I am curious, are the stroker kits hard on the LT1 blocks? Do they cause cracks or engine failure or are the gains not noticeable? It seems that alot of people are not satisfied with their car or engines after they get them together, or thats what it appears to be since there are alot of cars with this engine in them. I would like to hear what pros and cons that people have witnessed with these mods to the LT1 and LT4 engines. Any suggestions or insight would help.
