How good is my stock radiator for an ls3 swap

My 91 Camaro had a stock 305 TBI engine in it. On the hottest days of the summer the stock engine runs very cool. Can someone tell me how many cores the stock radiator has and also will it be big enough to cool for my ls376. Don't want to spend more than I have to. Was looking at a Becool radiator.

the stock aluminum radiator should cool enough for a stock LSx motor, as the 4th gens actually got a slightly smaller setup for their LS1s. I believe most of the swap guys are running their stock radiators as well

Im still running the stock V8 radiator in front of a very healthy engine. No problems

Mine was a TBI car too

Biggest issue with the system is getting a reliable fan and functional air dam. Ive never seen a LSx PCM miss a turn on for the fans and the air dam does its job when you're moving. No reason to swap radiators

Thanks Jon. That will save me some money that I have to give to you for my harness

Are you staying drive-by-wire? Also what harness do you have for the engine?

Yes I am staying with fly by wire. I actually got a new harness out of a 2010 camaro plus the original tbi harness. Jon is going to work his magic on it to combine them. Since I bought a new ls 376 crate motor I bought the new computer already tuned for the setup. From what I understand the early pcm's are more tuneable but for now it fits my needs. I will be adding a super charger in a year or so. Hopefully my computer will be able to be tuned for that.

I've heard the opposite, that the newer computers are easier to tune. I believe you are running the E38 computer then (you should be) as thats what the new camaro uses. It will not have a problem being tuned for a supercharged application at all..
