Strut tower brace question
I was wondering what strut tower brace are you using. I want to use the UMI one but unsure if it will fit over my LSX swap. Anyone using one of them. If you have pics please post them as im looking for certain things for when I buy one. Who knows I might end up making my own.
Thanks

Re: Strut tower brace question
I have a 2 pt BMR brace on mine. It clears with about 10" between the brace and intake manifold.....
so its safe to say that clearance isn't an issue.......

Just curious, what benefit does the stb have anyway? Is it more for autocross stability?

Re: Strut tower brace question
Because it looks awesome and racey! Hehe... Im a fan of anything that ties multiple locations together on a 20+ year old unibody car.
Im pretty sure the LS motors sit a good deal lower than the TPI motors. So like Dan said, you should be ok.
Im still thinking about building my own since I cant seem to find any that I like these days.

Re: Strut tower brace question
I bought a UMI one to use with my swap. I saw some pictures somewhere that had one installed on a swap. I also chose to use one since I will be running coilovers on the front.

Re: Strut tower brace question
I really like the UMI one as there is no drilling involved and it really looks clean and easy on the eyes when you see it
