What to expect from this motor

I found this ad on craigslist, as I'm looking for an lt1, a t56 with 50k is on it's way, and I already have the harness, my mounts xmember, etc will be here tomorrow.

This guy says around 400hp, call me skeptical, he doesn't even list the specs or model of his cam. Wondering what you guys think, scam or not?

I text'd me asking if it's still available and I'm interested in putting it in my 92, and he just replies saying it wont work for my car. Kinda seems like a douche.

Top end Package includes...

-kN filter
-90 degree elbow
-cold air intake
-BBK 58mm TB
-Port matched Intake(to the cylinder heads & TB) Its also powder coated.
-Mustang Cobra 30Lbs Injectors
-fuel rail
-AFR 180cc heads W/ titanium valves
-comp springs
-comp cam
-comp lifters
-comp push rods
-comp pro magnum rocker arms
-ARP head bolts
-GM opti spark
-msd 9mm PLug wires
-smooth valve covers
-msd blaster coil

Bottom end includes...
-kb pistons
-stock rods
-stock crank
-stock flywheel
-all internally balanced.

5 years ago this engine was totally stock then i installed the afr heads and kb pistons. 2 years later i wanted more power, so i took the 355 kb pistons out and went to a fully forged bottom end and continud using the afr heads. So what im getting at is that the engine you hear on the youtube video does not have the bottom end you would be purchacing in it. Also the KB piston set up never saw nitrous.

The reason im selling these parts is because I have plans to make this a drag car only. using higher compression pistons, larger heads, w/ a carb set up.

You should expect 450 hp from this set up. The bottom end has 7500 miles on it and the top has 3500. I realize that there alot of parts here so if you want more details call xxx-xxx-xxxx. The engine is going to be together and running until sunday 1/15/2012 so if you are interested & want to here the engine run in person call me before then.

Im asking $2300 OBO for everything

Thanks,

$2300 for just the engine?

Without the PCM, harness, etc., he's right, it wouldn't work for your car. But, I wouldn't have bothered telling him that unless he asked.

I'll let those more familiar with LT1's take it from here.

Re: What to expect from this motor

It will obviously fit and work, and bolt into my 92. People swap LT1s in these cars all day long. I'm not looking for a stock replacement and it's obvious a modded engine needs modded equipment.

-----------

Anyhow screw this kid, he got his feelings hurt because he ignored me all night and day, then when I told him that I was going to flag his ad if he wasn't serious about selling he comes back saying "what if I was at a funeral, you disrespected me, so im not selling to you".

Everyone expects to get their *** kissed 24/7, while showing nothing but ignorance and rude qualities.
What the **** is up with people these days? From my experience, people usually always answer the next day or if not, there's some type of apology or people mutually respect each other offer an explanation and move on. You don't start a convo, then ignore people all day, it's plain rude. If you're busy, you're busy people have lives, but don't be a douche and just stop responding without any indication you are done talking. It's like answering the phone and hanging up during a conversation.

**** it, prob a bunch of bullshit anyhow. Many people need their skulls caved in, I swear.
