looks great, you've come a long way since that first post you made about these swaps
Needs a lot more stall though IMO, in case you notice that as well while driving it. The most popular one is the SS4000 and with lockup it'll drive like stock.

Another thing to consider is that the GTA will likely get about 8 or 9 pounds of boost within 18 months. My understanding is that should cause the converter to stall a bit higher.

Understood BlueZee. I'll bet it's already going to pieces just thinking about how badly the LS1 is going to smack it around. If it feels the need to leave the relationship I'll be more than happy to upgrade and change to a better gear ratio (maybe 3.73) while it's apart. None the less, I'll pass your condolences along...and mine. Lol

She went for a test drive yesterday and really wants to run. Tracey has a couple of small projects to do and then she's coming home.

Re: Project OVRMYHD comes to life
Here's the dyno sheet
Scared me to death the first time I hit it at 65 mph! I wasn't expecting it to react as quickly or violently as it did. It downshifted to 2nd and slammed me back before my foot hit the floor. I let up almost immediately because I thought something went wrong (it really surprised me) and was already over 90 and in less than than 2 seconds.

Re: Project OVRMYHD comes to life
Torque converter technology has come a long ways since the old days. I have known people that drove 4500+ stalls on the street. Some as their daily drivers. I've been told by several local auto ls1 guys that in general a 32-3600 stall still has really good manners on the street and really wakes the car up.

Re: Project OVRMYHD comes to life
3600 is a "mild" stall these days. People on here are still stuck in the 80s with their thinking. If you run a lockup converter, no reason not to go huge on it, it'll still drive like a stock stall when locked up.
