proposed 5.3 build

Hello everyone

Ive been trying to get everything in line for my 5.3 build and I was wondering if I could get some opinions. I have a 2000 lm7 thats apart and im rebuilding with new rings bearings and gaskets. I have a set of mildly ported ls6 heads im going to have milled 0.030 to match the compression of the other heads I have. with a set of good dual hive springs, I want to use the tr220 cam as I see it having the best gains for a off the shelf cam. paired with an ls6 intake, and a 100-150 shot of nitrous, I plan to see upper 400 lower 500 hp and torque to the wheels. does this sound correct? im open to all opinions

Re: proposed 5.3 build

Take the mods your doing and estimate the gains from those on the low side and then read this thread posted a few days ago, should give a rough estimate:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/ltx-...-5-3-dyno.html

Wouldnt hurt to watch a few stock/mild 5.3 dyno Vids on youtube, collectively they should give you a better estimate.
