lsx swap harness questions.

Just got my 5.3 that came out of a 04 silverado that I'm swapping inti my iroc that I bought as a roller. The motor came with the full engine harness plus pcm can i just use that harness and add my gauges since ill have auto meter gauges? Thanks in advanced

The only gauges that the pcm will controll is the tach and speedo, everything els gets signal strait from the sensor.

yup im doing the same thing using stock harness

stripped harness down to make custom length


lengthened / shortened wires to get where i want to mount pcm and rerouted wires taped back togather and will pull it off and re-loom it

Thanks. So is there any special way you are adding wire? Or are you just running a new strand for longer instead of splicing in to existing wire?

just cutting the wire and shorten it or splice more wire in then solider the splices throw some heat shrink tubing over it and move on to the next
