Thanks! Yeah I would imagine so with the fender exit exhaust. There's plenty of room.

Re: Iroc LQ4, S480 turbo build
I do but it's hard to find one similar to what I'm trying. I want to keep my a/c and put the exhaust out the back and not the fender because mine is a street car.

Mine is also a street car. I can and will put the 4" out the back once I install my K member. Anything can be done!

Re: Iroc LQ4, S480 turbo build
Are u putting the a/c back? I'm sure anything can be done. But getting a 4" pipe passed the a/c is going to be a task. It will get done on my end one way or another tho.

No I'm not. A twin setup would be a lot easier with A/C. Smaller turbos and smaller pipes.

Don't really need that much but the prices really didn't look to be much cheaper going even smaller. 750 rwhp is plenty for me.

Re: Iroc LQ4, S480 turbo build
Haha seems to be the way it is around here! I better LT1 swap mine now...
No idea what kind of power it makes.. Its on about 12 psi right now. I took off the boost controller to figure out the new suspension and transbrake launches. It feels pretty damn good.

Well, I have an idea about where its at but, I'd rather see the times I want out of it. Dyno numbers don't mean much to me

Re: Iroc LQ4, S480 turbo build
I've been working on fixing a few issues. First off, throwing belts! I switched out the tensioner pulley for a supercharged buick pulley, FIXED that issue.
I need to get the car aligned but its damn near impossible to get anyone to do it around here. That's an ongoing/pending issue.
I'm a total moron and was doing too many things at once, I forgot to install my hoodpins. As you can imagine what happened next... My bolt on hood doesn't bolt on anymore. Luckily, no major damage reported to the top of it, I think I can convert it to a pin on temporarily. No pics!
Lastly, kinda stupid. I got the trans back from a rebuild and I have no park. The pawl in the trans is not engaging. I believe the pan can be dropped to fix that.
No major issues, I'd like to hit the track Saturday. We'll see how it goes and I'll update with a 9 sec. pass if I do. Ha!

Re: Iroc LQ4, S480 turbo build
Ouch! I paid $150 for the heads. I spent a ton on valvetrain and head studs but that's about it. Its by far the cheapest thing I've got going on for the entire drivetrain.
I'll turn it up but I want to iron out the suspension to get my 60' down first. Hopefully progress gets made this weekend.

Re: Iroc LQ4, S480 turbo build
Thanks. I've been chucking serp belts every single pass. It's driving me nuts. After that issue is resolved I'll turn it up and let it eat. Best 60' so far was a 1.45' at a better track. I'd love to see a 1.3x

Same MPH (same boost) The better 60' netted me a 9.84 ET finally.
