I´m thinking of swaping to a lm7 5.3 engine. My questions is if the lsx parts is interchangable with the l59 such as top end parts like heads intake ect? is the wiring much/if any different between ls1 and l59 engines? and if their is anyone here who have swapped it? i´ve tried to search but it barrely didn´t find anything. is the bolt pattern for the gearbox the same as the lsx engine? could i take a complete lsx harness and use it with the lm7 engine if i´ll change the intake? do i need new sensors ect? any help is appreciated

 

L59 is a 5.3L version of the LSx family, L59 was '02-'07. You'll need the LS1 or LS6 intake manifold and matching fuel rails. Your injectors won't work either, wrong length. Your L59 will bolt in the same as an LS1, once you change the oilpan, intake, and front accessories. Use the L59 computer and harness to save a whole lot of money.
