I bet the inside dia. is 1 5/8. Dont worry about them not being big enough for n/a. Im still using factory fbody manifolds on my 6.0 cammed with ls6 intake and got 370hp/380tq at the wheels. When I put the longtubes on and a 3 inch y pip with cutouts should be me over 400whp with a retune.
Now I have to figure out why the shifting linkage from the 700r4 is not fitting onto the 4l60e. Seems the stud on the 4l60e transmission is to larger to accommodate the linkage from the 700r4.
Never mind I just needed a bigger hammer.

It's been awhile I thought I would update a few things.
Due to ground clearance issues I had to cut up the hawks trans cross member, I am in the process of completing this
once its complete I will snap a few pics if someone is interested.
Car is running pretty well even though I have not drove it all that much. I know after my 1986 lsx turbo z28 this thing is a major dog... LOL
You must be using 2.5" intermediaries, right? 3" is tough to get around the 4L65e - I know.
From your trans cross-member, it looks like you're going to attach through the side of the rail, correct? I used cylinder collars that go all the way through, then welded on both external sides with the bolts going through them. I also had to scallop the rail a little, but it gave me the clearance needed.
The transbracket pic looks like the one bolt is not tightened flush (it is), the collar protrudes and has weld underneath. The bracket is snug.
