little crap, just wondering what you guys did

ok, i am putting a 95 caddy motor (LT-1 5.7) in my 91 rs

The motor runs now, and, as far as i'm concerned, i'm at about the 90% completed point.

but it's the little things that i'm still trying to figure out and would like to know what you guys did for a solution.

1. power steering res. where and how did you mount it? i have a washer fluid jug right where it wants to go, so am wondering if you guys came up with any clever means of mounting the stock one. I have a few ideas about what to replace the reservoir with, but, i want to see if what i'm thinking is in line with what has been done.

2. where and how did you mount the computer? keeping in mind, on my harness, the computer is at the driver's side FRONT of the hood compartment. The cruise control is there that i plan to delete and use the one from the motor, but, still begs the question of what you used to mount yours.

Keep in mind, i can fabricate metal, just, trying to see if there's an easier solution that i have yet to think of for these things.

There are probably some other things like AC hoses, Heater hoses, and random crap that i haven't started on yet, and need to think about, but will get to those when i get to them.

Those are the two main things i can think of right now.

send pics if you have em!!!!!

I put my ps resevoir on the wheel well above the battery. Kindof stands out there and I dont like it but its just temporary. I saw someone put it right beside the battery behind the headlight in that corner. Just make sure you can still put fluid in.

Theres soo many places to mount your PCM. Since your harness sounds like its done, just improvise and see what will work. Ive seen them mounted inside the dash, firewall, by the radiator, etc etc.

When I still had a LT1 I mounted my PS resevoir on the passenger shock tower. I used a small piece of steel to hold it in place. I painted it black and unless you were looking for it, you wouldn't have known it was there. I used it just like that on my dads car as well. Over 10 years and no problems with it. For the computer on mine I had it on the passenger side near the AC box, but on my dads I extended all the wires and mounted it under the dash. Much cleaner in my opinion and not too bad to do.

Re: little crap, just wondering what you guys did

As for the computer under the dash, it would be a lot easier if i started with a camaro or vette wiring harness because the computer goes behind the passenger side wheel well, instead of the driver side grill area, so it would be a lot of extending to bring it all the way to the back and then into the cab... though, yes, ideal since that's where the old one was in the car and makes sense lol.

i'll put it give or take, where it lays, but i guess i was trying to see photos of whatever contraptions you guys made to do the actual mounting.

i think i figured out what to do with the reservoir though, i'm using the stock coolant res and there isn't much room around there, but, i think i know what to do. i'll figure out the computer too i'm sure..

i'm curious if it has to be water tight though, or if it really matters.
