LT1 swap I need answers from 2013.

I know there a ton of Threads but for some reason im confused Okay so heres the questions I have.
Will my stock 700r work with the Lt1?, what parts do I need for this?
I want a/c where can I find parts to where I dont have to mess with the Kmemeber?
Easy swap?
cost and pain difference from a LS1?
Whats a good website to order these engines from?
Im sorry I started a new thread on this but I dont understand all these abbreviations so I need a dumb down version.

yes the stock 700r4 will work, the bellhousing flang on the lt1 is the same as the gen 1 small block you already have. the only way your 700r4 wont bolt to it, is if you have a v6 in the car now. the v-6 an v8 700r4s arent interchangable.

the ac could probably be mounted without modding the kmember, but it will probably cost a fourtune for an aftermarket accessory bracket setup to do it. i dunno, ive never tried. maybe someone else has a better way to do it.

the lt1 vs ls1: the lt1 will be cheaper, but wont perform as well stock vs stock than the ls1. and theres the cost of the ls specific peices youd have to get for the swap. but the ls1 is a way better engine than the lt1 and worth the expense if you can pony up the cash.

you can hit up local junkyards to find a good usable engine for WAY cheaper than trying to buy one online. you can also score them off craigslist a lot easier now too. just be sure you thoroughly inspect the engine before buying. and even then its no guarantee you wont have to rebuild it.

A/C would be easier if you could locate a corvette acc bracket. The compressor is mounted up top next to the alternator.

Thanks alot guys! I will most likely go with the Lt1 because it seems easier. Im not the smartest guy around the block hen it comes to engines. What year cars did the lt1 come in. ill keep searching on craigslist for a wreaked cars or something. Im only looking for 300hp maybe 350 if possible, im pretty sure the lt1 can be modded for that kind of power.
Any special parts needed for the 700r tranny to work or just bolt it up and it works?
Say if I go to a junk yard pull a engine would it be wise to get it rebuilt and at the same time get a cam installed and new heads?
What would I need besides the engine, Harness, and ECU?

Isn't Craigslist "on line"?

I have found the opposite to be true. Try to find one in a local junkyard, and for whatever reason it'll cost you an arm and a leg.

On the other hand, most of the good prices you'll find "on line" will be from junkyards to do extensive business on the internet.

yes its online, but it at least gives you the chance to look the engine over before pulling out the wallet.

Lt1 IMO.. is the best bang for the buck swap. If you don't have deep pockets lt is the way to go. Its not a weekend swap for first timers though. You need to be familiar with the wiring harness and how it needs to be done. There is a lot to consider such as vats and speedometer ect and all the info is covered here. If you get an lt1 get it with the harness and pcm and follow the procedures in the sticky's. You wont regret swap. They arent LSx motors, but there's plenty of power to make you smile. Look on you tube, there's a bunch of 12 second Lt motors with cam only swaps. I'm running the old tried and true cc306, there's better out there now, but it was one of the best back in its lt1 glory days when I got it. They respond very well to just a cam change, the heads flow pretty good on them.

I found a complete 92-96 Vette accessary set up on flee bay, but it cost more than a good LT1 engine. (800plus) I'm going with the notching the K-member way.
