Turbo 4.8 Help
About what level of compression will 243 heads give me on a stock bottom end 4.8? Planning for a "budget"-ish turbo build soon, shooting for maybe 15 psi? I've seen several 243 heads on 5.3 builds, but none that i can recall on a 4.8.

Re: Turbo 4.8 Help
Some newer 4.8's come with 243's and they were 9-9.2 to 1.
Older heads were around 61cc and 9.5 to 1 comp while 243's should be 64-65cc. So comp should be lower
As long as you are at or under 10 to 1 and looking for moderate power, it will love boost.

Re: Turbo 4.8 Help
Some had weaker rods than others. I am not sure of the year but i think 06-07 up maybe? Even so a weak rod motor with arp bolts can still hold big hp. My buddy/tuner is goin on 3 yrs with a weak rod 5.3 thats up in the 700whp range in a silverado
