LT1 accessories bracket
I am looking at starting my LT1/4l60e swap in an '87 Monte SS. I've read plenty about the possibility of having to notch the frame in order to clear the AC compressor.
I also read that getting the accessories bracket from an LT1 Corvette would be the way to go without messing with the frame.
Now for the questions:
1) Are the accessories interchangeable between Camaro and Corvette?
2) Should I just have the frame notched and be done with it? (if it needs it, of course)
Thanks

Re: LT1 accessories bracket
I'm doing a swap too. I chose to use the 92-96 C4 Corvette AC Alt accessary set up. I bought a complete setup off the internet. Cost was around $800. It had everything, brackets, bolts, pulleys, AC compressor, Alt, etc. Once you're down to the bare front of the LT1 all the pieces, brackets and all just bolt right on. I'm lucky as I own a 92 Vette that uses this same set up and I use it to see where all the parts go. To me it is a cleaner set up and replacing the AC compressor is so much easier.

Re: LT1 accessories bracket
If you're set on not notching the crossmember (not going to get into that debate lol) and you already have f-body/b-body accessories, you could get a bracket kit that relocates the compressor you already have to the top left of the motor, should put it pretty close to where the stock monte compressor was. I can't recall off hand where I got mine, but if you're interested I can check next time I'm in the shop, IIRC it was <$300 for the kit.
