Operation wet dream it's becoming a reality
I have an 88 firebird I've own since I have 17 after 4 small blocks I have a 427 big block in it which was just a straight line monster but sadly there's a replacement for displacement technology. So not only do I wanna go in a straight line but hug the corners. So here comes the fun. I'm build a 396 striker with a t6 s475 Borg with a billet compressor wheel. Run down I have a ly6 iron block 6.0 bored .30 over the crank is a forged 3.90 eagle crank and h-beam 6.125 rods with a set of custom made weisco pistons coated top and side. I will be tapping the block for some oil squirted from blp. The heads are a set of procomp ls3 2.20 custom made Manley valves and 1.6 intake both stainless with brain tooley .650 springs and a comps ungraded on the ls3 rockers. A custom grind cam from tick performance. Being feed by a Holley hi ram 102 mm intake a Holleys 120 lb injectors. The cam I should b shifting at 7400 rpms and 1000 rwhp is my goal. I know I don't have to spin a turbo lax motor to 7500 with a turbo over kill maybe but it should sound like Thor dropping the hammer. To hold all of that every piece of suspension is being swapped with umi and founders. A 5th gen brake up grade thanks to fly bye for that and a built 10 bolt from a 02 Camaro aftermarket eaton posi stock with 3.42 gears kegs axle upgrade kit welded the tubes and a cover. The shocks are Vikings adjustable and the fronts will be switched out the day they go on sale for the fronts .

I wouldnt run a built 10-bolt behind something like this. Could it hold up...maybe. But for everything you're putting into this, a beefier rear would be nice to see!
This should be a good build! Cant wait to see your progress!

I ended up in the same situation with my swap, way over-powered for a ten bolt. Its upgraded as much as a ten bolt can be, but I now find my driving habits center around not exploding the diff, instead of ripping gears the way I'd like to. Hopefully the rear holds so I can re-group some of its cost by selling it when I upgrade rear diffs again.

Re: Operation wet dream it's becoming a reality
I've had a few 10 bolts into the 9s behind some big blocks they really are hit or miss. This weekend before it started raining in I got the brakes hooked up. I'm using a 4th gen booster and the res with a after market cop proportioning valve and my steering shaft upgrade

My bp wiring came in today and wow I'm impressed. He took my old wiring harness and retro fitted it for the lsx and I'm still like damn. All plug and play is nice.

Loaded up to head to the frame shop. Over the years of abuse there are stress cracks so I'm gonna have it straighten and have them weld my connectors in when in the machine. Probably over doing it but I ding plan on ever selling it so over building it.

Re: Operation wet dream it's becoming a reality
Ya the gent at bp really did a great job with the harness set him my old cut up v6 harness and cut it all and replaced all the wiring so I can use all the factory gauges. I think it'll be a clean factory look. You think holley would offer a polished or chrome hi ram cause I think it looks amazing

Got everything together forgot to take a pic of the improved racing oil baffle and cleaned up the oil pan around the filter for better flow.
