ltx a/c question

My origional 84 Z28 lines are lined up just right for the LT1 compressor using the browers rod shop relocation bracket. they look like they'll fit and I even tried to charge the system, but they kept leaking. Is there a difference in the actual block for the pancake and the LT1 compressor? Or am I just not using the right sealing washers and o-rings?

I keep seeing posts for the a/c source vetical o-ring block, but it does not look any different that the OE one (in mating surface). But I can't sem to find ay specs regarding any differences in the actual hose blocks.
