Removing the old engine. 388 Stroker with Edelbrock Pro flow. Broke the crank so I figured it was a good time to do the engine I always wanted. You can see all the shavings in the oil filter. I also have the picture of the broken crank. It started knocking really bad at the end of the track one day racing. still ran but didn't sound good at all.

 

My junk yard engine. Picked up for 1700. No tranny though. has 80k on it.

K member installed, Everything seemed to line up just fine. Pretty happy with it.


Everything back together. Lowering springs to replace my old torched lowering springs haha Should have got tubular A arms and coil overs but this swap is already costing a lot.


Hawks stainless long tubes. bit expensive but they are pretty sweet.

 

Auto meter gauges.


Just enlarged my old gauge holes. bit tight. Had to cut into the turn signal tubes but it seemed work well enough for me.

 

Installing texas speed cam 224/224 114 LSA (wanted to go bigger but im keeping the stock stall for now) LS6 pored oil pump and Chrommolly push rods.






Found out the engine I had actually had 2 bent push rods. didn't seem to hurt anything. I did a search online and a lot of people said they bent stock rods when the engine was over revved.

 

Getting the engine dropped it. put it in through the top. Engine and tranny together. went it pretty smooth.


I am liking my idea of removing the AC. A lot cleaner IMO. Even though it worked great when I took it out. T tops are good for the summer anyway.

 

fuel pump and fan relays wired up.


Temporary intake tube just to get it started.

my dads 78 cutlass in the back. 2006 6.0 4L80E swap. We have caught the LS swap bug. Will not go back to the old SBC
