hey guys sorry if im posting in the wrong place but I got my 5.3 in the other day and just yesterday I got my 4l80e all bolted up my main question is how is the shift linkage gonna work do I need to mod it or what if so how and whats the best way about going for crossmember I don't have a welder but a buddy does if I could get the messurements off what some of the stuff yall did im sure we could make something but for shift linkage I have the 700r4's little metel part that the shift linkage goes to I can shift in to drive and reverse it just wont go back to park or any of the other gears im new to swaps so sorry if the questions are dumb but I would like to hear some replies

Yes I have read it before it mostly cover the 4l60e and the t-56 Ik I gotta Bulid my own crossmember since I'm using the 4l80e I just want to know the bed way to go about it and the shift linkage my car use to be a v6 I read some were there a deferent length if that's true what would be a good replace ment

Iv read all thoes but the third one I like pockets trans mount but I don't have a welder or skills to craft something like that and I'm thinking I need a longer shift linkage so I can run through all my gears if I could get a link or part number for a shift link that will work I'll buy one but the crossmember I'm even will to pay someone to make it for me

How much and I got the arm that came off my 80e and at the moment I have my 700r4 arm on the trans I can shift it out of park and drive but it won't go fully back to park but it won't go past drive

I'm willing to buy your shift cable just give me a price you can pm and do you still have your crossmember I'm willing to buy that too but I don't have sfc idk if you welded your crossmember to them or not

I cut and welded the 80E and 700R4 arms together and modified a bracket so all your stock stuff works. Hows $25 for them?
