summit racing LS swap motor mounts

Has anybody tried a set of conversion mounts with an lq4 in a 3rd gen that's sold by summit racing? I'm looking at one of these sets. I know hawks and spohn sell them, but I don't want to wait until the end of next week to get the mounts. I'm hoping one of these sets will work with my stock motor mounts.

I'm of the opinion that your third link is not what you're asking for.

Quite the contrary. The last is the 1" setback style, which is preferred for swaps

Re: summit racing LS swap motor mounts

I went with the second link, and it didn't work out. The mounts are right over my factory mounts, but the oil pan is sitting on the k member by about an inch. I'll either have to try something else or notch the k member.

Re: summit racing LS swap motor mounts

Simple solution:

Bolt a flat plate to your engine and have the SBC mounts/clamshells attached to the K-member. Drop the engine in so its resting on the clamshells but not attached. Mark location, remove and weld clamshells to flat plates. Bam, simple mounts perfectly fitted to your car

But then he has to change his frame pads, which he didn't want, as I understood. There are other setbacks that don't require those obsolete 1960s-style frame pads. Those can separate, the 1980s-style is captured so separation is no longer a disaster.
