Re: info please

Third gen info is always given out. Since none of that is third gen related, responses will be limited or non existent.

Your best bet is to go over to LS1tech conversion/hybrid forum and do the research. Not going to go into the logistics here.

Actually, the question would apply to a 3rd gen LS swap, so it's cool.

You'll have to tweak the truck steam line a little, but it will work.

Re: info please

If the 5.3 is from a 99-06 truck, then the long block is externally identical to the 5.7 LS1. If it bolts to the outside of one, it will bolt to the outside of the other much like SBCs were so interchangeable

There are some things to keep in mind, but the majority is direct

Using a LS1 car intake with the truck accessories requires tweaks as the TB will hit the idler pulley and the truck WP water neck. There are simple kits to remedy this, mostly a bracket and denting the neck

The truck 4 corner steam line will not fit under a car style intake without major bending. Since the 5.7 you bought will have one, why not use it

Truck injectors are shorter than car injector, so they do not work directly. There are spacers available but I never liked the design. Whats wrong with the 5.7 injectors/rail?

Re: info please

Of the 5 truck LSx engines I've seen, 4 of them had a steam crossover up front, and the rear of both heads had gasketed plugs bolted on. I saved a few as spares.
