Which of the late 90's "Vortec" engines were actually LS motors?

I've been doing some research and found that apparently some of the late 90's "Vortec" truck motors were in fact LS motors? Is there any truth to this? If so, which ones and how can you tell?

Vortec was a designation for gm's truck motors from the 90's till now.
The last of the gen 1 sbc's ended in 2003.

Any 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 6.2, 7.0 gm motor from 97+ is based on the LS family of motors that originated from the ls1 in the 97 corvette. The 99+ truck motors were just called Vortec is all.
