Spohn vs UMI motor mounts pro and cons

I have spohn mount right now but not liking the idea of drilling a new hole in the k member. I have also heard of fitment issues. I noticed that umi sells lsx motor mounts. Does anyone have experience with the umi motor mounts? Any pros and cons? Thanks

Re: Spohn vs UMI motor mounts pro and cons

I dont have any experience with UMI, but the hole for the hawks/spohn stands is no big deal. It doesnt compromise and integrity and wont be noticed among the other holes in the K-member. The mounts WILL cause the pass side of the engine to hang a little low. All the complains about the SSW headers dragging a pass collector are from the mounts

Hello,

Our LSX mounts use existing holes and we also allow engine movement. You can move the engine rearward up to 1" if needed. I agree, drilling one hole is no major deal but these should go right in with no drilling and allow some movement. Please let us know if you have any questions, we are here to help!
