Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

Yes, it's basically an LS1 swap with a few peculiarities specific to the LS3. Mounts, clearances, exhaust, etc., will all be the same. The LS1 swap sticky in the top section of this forum pretty well covers all of that. Wiring will be slightly different, depending upon what you get with the LS3.

What LS3 were you planning on getting?

Thank you for your willingness to serve.

Re: ls3

Enjoy basic, it's the best shittiest time of your life! You won't forget the new buddies you make, the horrible times you go through will be fond memories a few years from now, and the crazy weekend nights when you're finally let free to blow off some steam... Well I can't say much about those lol. (They kept us confined to base for 6 weeks)

Don't get in too much of a rush to do this swap right after basic, wait until after your trades course and you are at your first actual posting and able to get things organized, as these swaps take time for us first timers... It would really suck having it unfinished and you have to move a non running car and all the little pieces.

What trade are you going? I'm 9 years in the Canadian Forces, first 8 were as a medic but now I'm going through an air force trade.
