Disconnect all hoses/wiring (obviously).
Pull front suspension apart (springs out, struts disconnected from spindle, tie rods off spindle, A arm bolts out, brake line off calipers) Pull the center link out, disconnect brake lines from the master cyl (front and rear, and make sure you take the mounting clamp for the rear line off the k-member, I missed this and pinched the line). Front sway bar out.
4 bolts for trans cross member, u-joint out to pull the shaft out... And I think that's it.

I made a heavy duty dolly that the engine/trans/k member rested on after all the suspension was out, and then lifted the car up with an engine hoist. With the T/A it's tricky because of the longer nose, you will want to weigh down the rear of the hoist so it doesn't tip on you, you will need the hoist extended out in order to not have the main part of the hoist hit the nose.

For lifting points, I got two bolts that are the same size as the sway bar mounting bolts, I ran a length of chain between the two bolts and hooked the hoist up to that, worked great. I would pull the fan out if you do this as there was slight pressure on the fan shroud with the chain.

K-member itself is 4 bolts on each side. I think I also disconnected the steering shaft.

Ok thank you very much that was exactly the information I needed. I got everything off the car but suspension and steering. But will a moving dolly from Walmart work that's what I plan to set the motor on. Also what is the best way to lower the motor on the dolly? Just pull spindle and lower front of car tell the K member rest on the dolly? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions I just want to make sure I have all the information I need before I start.
