cam choice
Howdy y'all, lookin for a bit of advice from those who know cams better than I.
I'm doing a 5.3 swap on my bird, Know what I'm doing for everything else, but not the cam.
its a stock truck 5.3, 706 heads, going to run a performer rpm
Dual plane manifold, likely a quickfuel 600 or 680 VS carb.
headers, likely shorties with true dual side pipes, no mufflers/cats.
4l60/60e trans, leaning towards a 2000 converter,
308 posi rear
31" mud tires all around
Its a DD, will never see a track, ever. Will be a mud car though, so needing bottom end-mid range oomph, torque being more important than horses.
Any suggestions on cams?
