Help with pushrods

Had a ticks cam custom made and its .608 intake and .578 exhaust. It's going in a 2011 L96 6.0l out a 2500 silverado. Head gaskets are stock and heads are not milled. I have done the pushrod length checker with 13 turns and got 1 1/2 turns to get 22 ft lbs after zero lash with the tapping way and with my smallest feeler gauge which on a caliper is 7.450". Which royally sucks because i was dumb and bought hi-tech .105 wall 7.400" which were not cheap. I also tried the torque to 22 ft lbs and adjusting the pushrod length checker to zero lash which I get 7.333 on exhaust and 7.340 on intake so add preload which most using ls7 style lifters run .070" which comes out to a 7.403" and 7.410"? What am I missing or which way is the way experienced builders would stick with? I've tried multiply cylinders and get the same thing.
