correct oil pan for ls1 swap

I just developed a hole in my oil pan because of a protruding weld on the back of my crossmember that I didn't see. Do these oil pans work with third gens ? Ebay item # 151664108660

Re: correct oil pan for ls1 swap

From the ebay link thats a 8 inch sump, which will sit a fair bit lower than the cross member, i think the correct f-body sump sits around 5.5 inches.

Depending how big the hole is you could always get it welded up.

Talk to "burgers" at LS1tech forum. He can get you new or used. FYI - a new LS1 F-body oil pan from GM uses an LS3 oil filter.

I sent "burgers" a pm. What is different with the ls3 filter. The y pipe that I made doesn't leave room for anything bigger than the stock ls1 filter.

Thread size is different. The LS1 filter won't screw on.
