L96 swap

Could someone who is educated give me a quick rundown on a list of things i need to do to put a L96 in a third gen camaro. I am also looking at a conversion kit from summit racing for carb setup(link below). How hard is it to hookup the stock wiring harness and such from the L69? Front brackets. Basepan. ect.

I have a 86' iroc 5 speed. From what the emblems on the transmission show it would seem someone swapped a world class transmission in it.

A simple list of what need to happen for one of these swaps would be aweosme. Thanks.

Re: L96 swap

It's an LS swap (so I moved it to that forum). Using a truck engine. Read through the LS swap sticky for the basics.

The L96 is VVT. I don't understand people's fascination with carb'd LSs, but I assume you would need to delete the VVT stuff. The swap sticky doesn't detail that, but you can search the swap forum for that info.

Pan, intake, accessories - there's a link in the swap sticky about starting with a truck engine.

Do you have a L96 engine already? Curious why you asked about it specifically.

Re: L96 swap

the reason i mentioned that motor specifically is that I have one here for next to nothing.
Cheap power just cause i have it.

And when it comes to the carb I just figured it would simplify things for hookup
