lq4 swap into 88 iroc.. need wiring advice
So I got a lq4 6.0 long block getting ready to put it in my car. I'm putting new heads, cam, intake, and fuel rails and throttle body on the engine. It did not come with a computer or wire harness.
So basically, I need to get the swap done in one weekend. I can't have the vehicle inoperable for more than a weekend at a time. maybe 3-4 days MAX.
I am purchasing EVERYTHING i need prior to bringing the car to the spot to do the swap.
So the question is, what should I do as far as wiring?
1. Just get it all wired up at a shop and only purchase lq4 harness and pcm
2. Buy a standalone wire harness and pcm ( https://www.psiconversion.com/produc.../HAR-1018.html ) and pcm ( https://www.psiconversion.com/produc.../PCM-1003.html )
3. Buy a lq4 harness with PCM, and a thirdgen body harness and send it to hawks to get a plug and play harness made
What I'm looking for is time and cost efficiency, and obviously quality.. the only gauge i need immediately is probably the temp gauge and the rest I could hook up later on. Clearly the 3rd option is the easiest... but is a standalone harness hard to hook up?? I've never done this swap so be easy on me.. still learning lol. The hawks one would be expensive cause I'd spend $400 on both harnesses and nearly $1000 on them hooking up the wiring, but it would be by far the easiest.... would a standalone harness be too difficult to get everything done in a weekend?? 4l60e trans.. lq4 motor.. stock k member..

In your case there is only one good answer --> Have Pocket build you a plug and play harness.

Information on anyone else who makes custom harnesses would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you're not up for doing it yourself, but check out my post with the wiring diagram for an 0411 PCM..

I wish I wouldnt have cut all the connectors off my swap harness to use for my MS3-pro.
I find alot of people find wiring hard or intimidating. Once you look it over it is actually really basic.
some sensors require 12V, signal and ground. Some require just 5v Reference and ground. Very simple.
If you go to LT1swap.com and follow the wiring swap guys for the 0411 PCM it is VERY easy.
I have wired about 5 LSx swaps all no issues. But you can also easily find wiring harness swaps for like $400
