LSX/ T56 swap shops Pacific northwest

Anyone know of good speed shop located in washington state or BC that specializes in LS swaps for third gens? I went to a few shops in Vancouver and while they were willing to try they had never done it before. Thoughts?

I would offer my services if you were closer to Portland, OR.

But what you want isn't necessarily someone that has done it - rather someone that's good with electrical and maybe some minor fabrication.

You can essentially buy all the parts to bolt it together. That's not a feat of skill. The electrical and fuel system portion is the part you want done by an expert. This is where the butchery will take place if you get someone that "has done it" but has no experience with safe and clean wiring. There are VERY FEW shops around that do this correctly. The automobile industry doesn't teach this - they teach "repair" not new custom.

I educate all my techs using a handbook put together from my days in the military (generator tech) and building control panels for industrial machinery.

Ask to see their electrical tools and pics of harnesses they have done, etc.

I am in Vancouver BC. General I dont see Portland as being that far. What would you charge to install a LS376/480 495 HP Manual Connect & Cruise Powertrain System if I bought all the required parts and had them delivered to you?

That would be fun! A blast to drive for sure.

I would estimate that at somewhere around 60 hours.... my shop rate is $99/Hour. No sales tax in OR!

The labor will depend somewhat on what kind of prep you want done to the bay, etc, and if you want it setup so that it could be put back to stock later should that be desired. That engine is surely going to need a fuel pump upgrade so I'm figuring the tank drop, etc in that number. The rear axle would almost be out getting to the tank so might want to consider any upgrades you want there while doing that.

That kit is pretty complete - just need LS and T56 mounts, LS exhaust headers, LS swap radiator, etc. I have an amazing exhaust guy for stainless TIG welded exhaust....

Yeah that would totally rock.

Right and AC... If desired. I'm not sure if anyone makes AC hoses for third gen LS swap. But my local radiator/AC shop can custom make.

There's a lot of little pieces to consider like that. This is why so many hours.

I think Hawks does, but it needs to be for the specific compressor they make them for.

True, and why most people do it themselves.
