LS1 plastic tank in 1984 TA - wiring question

i'm installing a LS1 plastic tank in my 1984 Trans Am and have a question on the wiring. i purchased a Squash Performance dual pump setup and hotwire kit. the products are great, but there was no installation instructions for the hotwire kit. there is a 6 pin connector on top of the sender. the stock wiring in my 1984 TA had a pink and black wire going to the factory tank. i assume the pink wire is for the fuel gauge and black is just a ground. i had Squash put a 0-90 ohm sender in the setup so i could use the stock gauge. any idea which wire on the LS1 6 pin connector i should tap into for the fuel gauge wire?
i tried searching, but most of what i found was related late 80s f-bodies that already had fuel injection and a three wire connection on the factory tank.

also, what is the connector on the right in the picture below go to?

This video may answer some of your questions:

I think the connector on the right side of your picture is for the fuel tank pressure sensor.

One of the purple wires (the ground) from the level sender in the tank, changes color from purple to blk/wht when it exits the top of the sender. I think thats where you two are confusing each other.

88Formula, I still recomend going to the Grand Prix sender and leaving the resistors alone.

I found that from this thread:

Re: LS1 plastic tank in 1984 TA - wiring question

The vehicle side of the 4th gen sub-harness is meant to plug in to the body connector of a 4th gen car and has more connections than you need. You have to build out some wiring to adapt it to your car. Either get a mating connector and plug it in (with a few holes blank for the wires you don't use), or cut the connector off and redo with a connector of your choice. Simply put, if you examine the Racetronix harness there is a pump B+ (10 gauge red wire), pump ground (14 gauge black wire), and two small wires for the fuel sender. The end game is to wire that into your car.

Here is a wiring diagram I made for myself to understand the Racetronix Hot Wire kit,

Also, the Racetronix harness has more wiring than you need so you could clean up the wiring a bit, if you are so inclined. I didn't even use the 4th gen tank sub-harness. I ran the Racetronix wiring directly to the fuel pump. The following two links explain,
