not sure about the t56, i just put a 6.0 with a tremec tko in my camaro i am using a spohn cross memeber with loop, i will have to modify it for the exhaust most likely but will be looking to keep the loop.

Re: driveshaft loop

Spohn sells a trans cross member with a front hoop for the T56. BMR used to have a version of their torque arm that had a split rear hoop that unbolted for driveshaft removal, although I don't see them selling it anymore. Closest thing now is there xtreme torque arm kit which comes with a hoop you weld in.

Safest combination is to run them in both front and back locations, which then also minimizes body damage should any part of the driveshaft come apart.

I would also suggest removing your torque arm mount from the trans and relocate to the trans x member if your still shopping.

Spohn T56 front x member with hoop, combined with BMR Xtreme Track pac kit should get you there.

Re: driveshaft loop

I ran a Jegster on my 3rd gen LS1/T56 car. Fits nicely. Doesn't look like they carry it anymore, but do have this: http://www.jegs.com/i/Lakewood/620/18020/10002/-1 On sale right now, even.
