Re: Still another LS swap
Looks like you made a SLA front suspension with ABS brakes. Got any more info on that?

Re: Still another LS swap
There are a lot more detailed pictures in the "Fabrication" board of the suspension under "Corvette suspension" and "Corvette suspension continued". There was a lot of fab work that went into it, which is why I posted it there, probably should have put it in the "Suspension" board and made it easier to find. I wanted to just highlight the engine this time, so glad to have that done. I'm working on the exhaust right now, including a double hump transmission cross member for the dual 3" exhaust. I'll post that in the "Exhaust" board.

I made it from aluminum and opened up the hole in the inner fender for cold air. It is ceramic coated on the inside and houses a 6” round, 8” long K&N filter. The “SS” are my initials, it was my way of “signing” my work.

I don't mean to invade your thread soloc4, but do you have any information on your A/C setup? I have been considering doing something similar, but you are the first I've seen that has done something completely custom like that. Looks beautiful!

Did you modify the stock upper radiator shroud support? It looks nice and clean without the molded hose rest that these cars come with.

Re: Still another LS swap
Sorry for the delayed response, it's been a really hectic summer. The A/C system is a universal Vintage Air Magnum IV. The initial fit was good, running the lines inside the blower box was the real challenge. I welded in some sheet metal plates to smooth the firewall, but there was no other place to put the drier, so it's mounted on the firewall. As far as the radiator shroud, it is the factory piece modified for a dual speed/dual fan setup from the GTO I got the engine from. Some of this can be seen in my post in the "fabrication" section with the suspension.

Many thanks. I'll check it out.

Attempted to start today, no joy! I’ll have to begin diagnostics. Fuel pump runs when the key is turned and the engine cranks but will not fire. AAHHGG!
