Car: 1985 Camaro

Engine: 5.3

Transmission: 4L80e

Axle/Gears: 3.42 10 bolt

Camaro Cowl Hood Size with Truck Intake and accessories?

I've found a lot of posts saying a 3" cowl should fit fine and a few that say it's a 4" minimum. Which one is it? I know the issue is with the alternator and the intake piping, otherwise a 2" cowl would probably fit.

I read(or dreamed) reading of a truck intake was made to fit by cutting a piece of the hood bracing.
