New HP tuners?
Ive decided to start dabbling in data logging/tuning. My tuner suggested the more logs i can get of my car the better and he would supervise me into getting into tuning as i been learning stuff over the yrs /i want this more so for when im at the track.
Last week he mentioned that HP tuners has new hardware/software that feels like a step back and issues in the tuning realm. i was about to order a vcm suite and now seeing forums not liking the new stuff..and the older stuff are being snatched up for ridiculous prices.
Who here tunes their ls rides and do you have the older version of hp or the new?

Re: New HP tuners?
you are talking about the hardware. i have the older style pro model. i just watched a youtube video on the differences last night, they seem to have added a lot of features and changes. more gear towards tuners tuning multiple cars.
beyond that i have no experience with the new hardware.

Re: New HP tuners?
I was looking at getting the older hardware which is still going to be compatible with the newer software..just wont be able to tune on newer cars going forward.
But looks like the pro version for the new hardware is nowhere close to ready..and requires external parts to use external inputs for other sensors which is a bummer, and expensive.

i'm happy with the pro unit i have. the pro will allow wideband input
Re: New HP tuners?
I had the old Pro with 8 credits and sold it. I wasn't ready to tune yet and wanted other parts. Hope I dont regret it. I think the new MPVI2 will do what I need to do, I hope.
